At first, I was very excited to watch Robin Hood. Because from the trailer, it looks gonna be really really good (since I like this war type/history kinda movie). I expected to see how Robin Hood (Robin Longstride) help the people of England who are oppressed by the King of England by being an outlaw. Yet this movie is telling how Robin Longstride became Robin Hood.
I find it very interesting how Russel Crowe (Robin Hood) and Cate Blanchett (Lady Marion ) get the chemistry and looks so much like a couple together. The action, the war/fighting scene is not as great as other "war" movie like The Braveheart or Troy.
I couldn't find any brand placement since the movie is based on the late 12th century in England. Duh..??? But I think there is a message in this movie that seems very obvious. When King John ( the messed up and tyranny king) ruled the country and the englishmen fight back, the englishmen demand only one thing, FREEDOM! And I was like oh, "That's so American!" You know since America is popular with their freedom, liberty, and justice ideology..and all that...
We also can see two different types of leadership. The first one is the righteous and fair leader like King Richard The Lionheart. The second is King Richard's brother, King John who led like a tyranny and completely knew nothing about how to lead a country.
My opinion after I watched this movie? IT'S JUST OKAY.

2 and a 1/2 STARS out of 5 for this movie.
